Blisland - map

Unusually for Cornwall, Blisland is located around a village green where you’ll find a rare Elizabethan manor house, a CAMRA award winning pub - a favourite stopping off point for avid walkers in the area, and a welcome café incorporated into the village store. The Norman church has an impressive barrel roof and the 19th century restoration of the medieval interior is outstanding for a small village. From Blisland interesting walks take you to the Jubilee Rock, an 8 foot high boulder carved with royal coats of arms, the Trippet Stones, a bronze age stone circle believed to have been used for performing ancient ceremonies and rituals and at the entrance to the village you’ll find St Pratt’s cross and holy well from where a feast day procession takes place in September every year. The Woodland Trust manages the nearby ancient Lavethan wood where you can follow footpaths winding through oaks, beech and sycamore trees.
