Delve into the past and discover your unique Cornish family history. There are many sources of information to refer to and numerous web sites available for assistance.

The Cornish Studies Library in Redruth is Cornwall’s largest library of Cornish printed and published items. Their collection covers Cornwall's history, language and other aspects of Cornish life. As well as books, there are photographs and maps of Cornwall, Cornish newspapers dating back to the early 1800s and many sources to help trace Cornish ancestry.

The Cornwall Record Office at Old County Hall in Truro holds many of the original sources for genealogical research in Cornwall, such as parish registers, old wills, deeds and leases.

Attached to the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro is the Courtney Library.  The Library houses around 150,000 items including newspapers dated back to1798, collections of Cornish historic photographs from the mid-19th century, periodicals and engravings.
