With over 300 miles of coastline, Cornwall has the longest stretch of the SW Coast Path.  It's a fantastic route and well worth finding a circular walk from your holiday base and getting to see some of the real Cornwall - hidden coves, great wildlife and stunning scenery.

Riding the Waves
Cornwall's is famed for being the surf capital of the UK, and there's plenty of British Surfing Association schools to choose from.  From all inclusive learn to surf weekends or mid -week breaks, to just a spontaneous one-off lesson - why not give it a go? 

Travel Back Through Time

Often described as the 'garden capital of the world' Cornwall has over 60 public gardens regularly open to the public. Yon't have to be a keen plantsman to enjoy then - many have great trails and play areas for kids and the freedom to explore in safety.

Tickle Your Taste Buds
Cornwall has a growing reputation for providing the best in local food and drink.  Cornish seafood, the freshest and bestWith the freshest of ingredients right on our doorstep, Cornish businesses are making good use of reducing food miles and keeping it local.  You can pick your own at fruit farms, buy local in major supermarkets and stock up at the regular farmers' markets and road side stalls to take a taste of Cornwall home with you.

Take a Walk on the Wild Side
Cornwall's not all beaches and harbours you know, the magnificent expanse of Bodmin Moor is hard to beat for sheer rugged charm.  Why not climb to the county's highest points at Rough Tor and Brown Willy, done in an afternoon, not too strenuous, amazing views and a sure fire way of wearing the kids out!

Cornwall is renowned for inspiring artistic endeavours.   Have a go yourself, or visit one of the many galleries specialising in work by local artists and pick up a reminder of your holiday. And we're not just talking paintings - there's a wealth of creative talent producing textiles, ceramics, jewellery, woodwork, furniture and sculpture.

There are plenty of free things to do - you don't need to spend a fortune.  Many galleries and museums have free entry, along with a lot of historic sites.  You could create your own beach sculpture, have a tide race, visit a public park or garden, or listen to shanty singers on the quay.

With so much coast and countryside to explore, it shouldn't be hard to find that special little out of the way place that you think no one else knows about and call it your own.
