What's new in Cornwall .............
Art hotel opens it’s doors
This hotel throws open its bright red doors in September having been brought to life by up-and-coming artists who have turned the Georgian building into a funky new hotel. From softly coloured bohemian rooms to wacky recycled furniture, bespoke textiles to exquisitely detailed illustration, each room is a masterpiece in it own right.
Power coasteering launches
If you’re an adrenaline junkie you’ll definitely be wanting to try power coasteering. Combining coasteering with a power boat, it offers a mix of speed, nature and hands-on physical adventure, all in the most stunning and remote locations.
New spa
Follow in the footsteps of top female surfer, Emma Skinner and prepare for a day amongst the Cornish surf with a ‘surfers massage’ session at the sparkly new Sail Lofts Ocean Spa. Set in a stunning position on St Ives’ harbour front you’ll be able to hear the waves calling from the surfing hotspots of Porthmeor and Porthminster as your muscles are warmed and stimulated ready for the turquoise waters. Or perhaps save the treat for when your wetsuit has been peeled off for the ultimate wind down.
Gourmet surf trips
Global Boarders, the multi-award-winning surfing company, has launched a unique Gourmet Surf Trip based in WestCornwall. It combines cookery master classes with private surf experiences using lifeguard-qualified coaches and luxurious accommodation.
“Surfing is a truly life-enhancing experience” says Mod Le Froy. “Add great food and stylish accommodation and this is a rare opportunity to experience the best of West Cornwall. A day in our sparkling blue sea is a natural tonic - and with modern wetsuit technology being cold in the water is a thing of the past. Yes, really.”
