Welcome to Visit Cornwall's tourism industry website
Cornwall Council to cut all Visit Cornwall funding
The announcement from Cornwall Council has clearly created uncertainty, however the Council have also clearly indicated they are looking for options to preserve the Visit Cornwall service via a different model. The implications will not be clear for a while as we investigate all the options and evaluate them over the next couple of months.
I can however confirm that Visit Cornwall will stay focused on delivering our services during 2014/15, using both our public and private sector funding. From 1/4/15 we will also ensure our existing contractural advertising commitments to advertisers and members for the 2015 guides and online www.visitcornwall.com advertisers are honoured, as these are supported by your contributions and payments.
We will update you as the situation progresses, in these "interesting times".
Finally, Cornwall Council, The Visit Cornwall Partnership, myself and the team here at Visit Cornwall, are fully committed to finding the best way forward for tourism in Cornwall and your support has never been more important, not only for the sake of your business, but Cornish tourism as a whole.
