Get Married in Cornwall guide cover 2007/8This publication is designed to encourage out of county couples to choose Cornwall as their 'wedding destination'. The guide is produced annually and has a print run 15,000. The campaign is run in partnership with the Cornwall Registration Service, and includes attendance at national wedding exhibitions, an online pay-per-click (PPC) campaign, PR activity, website and partnership marketing.

The Cornwall Registration Service will, once again, be working in partnership with VisitCornwall to produce the next edition of the popular Get Married in Cornwall Brochure.  This exciting campaign successfully highlights Cornwall’s uniqueness as a wedding destination – to couples who live both in and outside of Cornwall.

Where to Stay

2011 Accommodation Guide coverThe Where to Stay campaign is the flagship publication with over 500 advertisers and a 160,000 print run. It has a contemporary design and is distributed through Tourist Information Centres around the UK and through a national media campaign with a promotional spend of over £250,000.

You should consider advertising in this publication if you want to target domestic visitors. Many of the advertisers use this guide as their main marketing tool.

Campaign Objectives

  • To promote year-round tourism to Cornwall.
  • To attract visitors to the county who are relatively affluent and being classified as ABC1's.
  • Target families/couples to take short breaks and a main holiday in Cornwall.

All advertisers must be assessed under the National Quality Assessment Scheme to advertise.

Please note that you do not have to be a member of VisitCornwall to advertise but members do obtain a discounted rate.

2011 Destination Guide coverThe Cornwall (Destination) campaign will inspire visitors to choose Cornwall as their holiday destination and will provide the visitor with a comprehensive range of things to see and do in Cornwall, assisting them during the planning stages right through to their visit. The editorial content adopts a thematic approach and provides non accommodation providers the opportunity to support these features.

It has an extensive website featuring gardens and accommodation within Cornwall attracting over 6,000 visits a month as well as the map guide.

150,000 copies distributed to individual enquiries responding to the lead generation campaign and awareness activity, at Tics nationwide.
