The Keep

Centrally located in beautiful St Ives, and close to superb sandy beaches, The Keep, a recently-converted Pilchard Palace and Sail Loft, makes for a truly special retreat.

Tucked away down a quiet alley in the Downalong area of St. Ives, the Keep B&B is a peaceful oasis boasting, unusually for the town, a spacious walled garden where guests can relax after a day out.

THE KEEP is a small, intimate B&B with two stylish bedrooms, both on the ground floor. Each room has an en-suite designer shower room, flat-screen TV, underfloor heating and luxury Lombok king-size bed.

Breakfast is served in the glass-covered atrium adjoining the bedrooms, in what used to be an open courtyard. A large wall-mounted flat-screen HDTV, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a small fridge are all for the guests’ own use.

The Keep is 50 metres from Porthmeor Beach.

THE PILCHARD PRESS is the larger of the two bedrooms and retains some original features, whilst providing a romantic setting with its king-size four poster bed, luxurious bed linen, underfloor heating and designer en-suite shower room. Furnished with Eastern antiques and chests, the feel is a mixture of old and new, chic and contemporary.

THE MERMAID boasts an extremely comfortable king-size double bed, wall-hangings and rugs from the Far East and Morocco, underfloor heating, and a generous designer en-suite shower room. Simply furnished with Indian metalwork bedside tables and hand-crafted hanging shelf, this is a stylish, cosy room.

Both bedrooms have flat-screen televisions and hair-dryers, and an iron/ironing board is available on request. We use top-quality goose-down duvets and are happy to supply anti-allergenic duvets and pillows if required.

There is a large, wall-mounted 40” flat-screen HD television in the airy living-area, comfortable seating, a dining table for breakfast or for board games (some provided), and guests may make themselves hot drinks throughout the day. Wifi facility available.
