St. Endellion, PORT ISAAC
Trevathan is a working farm and has been farmed by the Symons family since 1850. Unsuitable for modern farming methods the old farm buildings have been converted into holiday cottages. All of our cottages are fully equipped, have their own garden and have the beds ready-made for your arrival.
Helping hands are always welcome on the farm so do bring your Wellington boots. We often have lambs and calves that need hand feeding. Our goats, hens, Shetland ponies, and even wallaby's area a great attractions. We also have a tennis court, games room and children's play area.
There is a one acre fishing lake on the farm, set within 40 acres of land devoted to the encouragement of natural fauna and flora creating a haven for a number of uncommon species of birds, dragonflies, butterflies, and wild flowers.
The lake is stocked with rainbow trout. We have rods and lines available for our visitors use and the trout taste delicious on the barbecue so why not send the children out to catch their tea!
For the fishing enthusiasts there is other trout and coarse fishing available locally and sea-fishing trips can be arranged from Port Isaac and Padstow.
Browse through our farm shop packed full of local goodies, pickles, jams, honey, cheeses, fudge, free range eggs and clotted cream from our local dairy. Country wines, Cornish beer and good old Scrumpy!
We stock a wide range of homemade jams and preserves made using our own fruit whenever possible.
Stay a while, enjoy the delicious home made food available in our family run restaurant.
Trevathan is no more than 10 minutes drive from Polzeath, Daymer bay Rock and Port Isaac (home of Doc Martin); or cycle along the Camel Trail to Padstow.
We are open all year; the rugged coast is as breathtaking in winter as it is in the summer and with plenty to do on the farm all year round the children will love it.
Entry managed by Boscastle and Tintagel Visitor Centre 2011
Follow B3314 through Delabole, as far as St Endellion Church, turn left opposite the Church. We are a short distance down the hill on the right.
