Zennor

The village is situated in a quiet and remote part of West Cornwall and has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Cornwall 's oldest private museum, The Wayside Folk Museum can be found here. It has two working mining waterwheels, cobbler's shop, wheelwrights and an archaeological display of the area. In the church is a carving of a mermaid reputed to over 600 years old. The legend tells that a mermaid lured a local man to her home in the sea depths, and he was never seen again.
