The Metropole Hotel

More often than not, the 4 star Metropole hotel is the first sight you notice on entering the vibrant town of Padstow, aka the sea food capital of Great Britain (thanks in the main to Rick Stein & co)!

The view over the town and Camel Estuary from the hotel is second to none and it’s also one of the only hotels to offer reasonable parking facilities on site (believe us, that is a big bonus here)!

Ying and yang come together here at The Met, with splendid Victorian architecture complimenting a modern interior that retains a tasteful foot in both eras.
We offer free Wi-Fi in all of our public areas! The welcome and service are friendly, the ambience is relaxed and informal – you’re in good hands here, so you can relax and soak in the atmosphere.
The Metropole has 58 individually appointed bedrooms that are available in a choice of categories: Standard, Select and Premier. All rooms are en suite with bath and overhead shower and are equipped with remote control colour TV, clock/radio, hospitality tray and hairdryer as standard.

Our Select rooms offer great views over the town, harbour or Camel estuary.

In the Premier rooms you can really relax as there are acres of space and in all but 2 of them, you have a wonderful view over the harbour or estuary. The bathrooms are a real feature too with most having walk in showers and all with big fluffy bathrobes. Take time to read your complimentary newspaper, sit back and enjoy the beautifull location. For that special romantic break why not book one of our three four poster bedrooms?

Make the most of your visit and spoil yourselves with some champagne on ice in your room or some fresh flowers and chocolates for a special occasion. We have a number of options available and they can be arranged at time of booking – even online! Now how easy is that to ensure your stay is extra special? If you want to go out every day and take a delicious packed lunch with you – well we can do that too!

Families are welcome at The Met. Our pool is open during the months of July and August and we have some great beaches on our doorstep as well as the excitement of the harbour a stone's throw away. We have a number of family rooms available.

Padstow's narrow streets are dotted with small colourful shops and you can find amazing antiques or walk along the beaches and find clams. Our 50 rooms are well appointed with many having views over the working harbour and estuary. Our outdoor pool is open during July and August. We pride ourselves on the hospitality we provide which brings people back year after year.

Meals are available until 9pm each evening. Dinner is available at £23.95 per person for 2 courses or £29.95 per person for 3 courses.
