It is an ideal base for north and south coasts, touring, cycling, walking and bird watching. The Eden Project is about 20 minutes away by car. By road:

From Bodmin take the A30 Bodmin to Launceston road, turn right at the slip road signed Cardinham and Bodmin airfield. In Cardinham village turn right at the cross-roads toward church. Follow road downhill past tennis court on left. The Old School House is the third house on the right after tennis court
