Truro City of Lights

Giant lanterns made from withy and tissue will line the streets of Truro. Built by local school and community groups, every year the lanterns are more ambitious, inventive and impressive, with this year being no exception.

The Theme for this year's Truro City of Lights is TBC and the procession order will be as follows from 7pm: (TBC)

St Clement Street
Union Street
Castle Street
River Street
St Nicholas Street
Princes Street
Green Street
Lemon Quay

The lantern parade will stop in Boscawen Street where the Christmas lights will be switched on by a special lantern. The parade will then move onto Lemon Quay where the fireworks will be visible and then parade will finish at High Cross (outside the Cathedral) with choral music. The procession will finish between 8.30 and 8.45pm.
