Home / What's On in Cornwall / Daphne du Maurier Festival 2008
The Daphne du Maurier Festival of Arts and Literature takes place in and around Fowey on the beautiful south coast of Cornwall for ten days each May. This year’s Festival, the twelfth, will run from Thursday 8 – Saturday 17 May, with the main focus of the Festival in the specially created Festival ‘village’, overlooking the beautiful Fowey estuary on the outskirts of the town. In addition there’s a chance to enjoy a huge variety of community events, including guided walks, boat trips, plays, concerts and talks in Fowey itself and the local area.
The Festival is funded and co-ordinated by Restormel Borough Council and this year’s programme features another fantastic line up of speakers and celebrities, who will be appearing in the state of the art marquees in the Festival Village. From the first night with Rick Wakeman to the last night with Russell Howard, there really is something for everyone this year!
