Boscastle Food, Arts & Crafts Festival

Boscastle – One of the few Food Festivals in Cornwall featuring local Celebrity Chefs Nathan Outlaw and Paul Ainsworth! The 6th Boscastle Festival of Real Food, Arts and Crafts on the 1st and 2nd October 2011 is proud to be one of the few food festivals in Cornwall this year where visitors will be able to witness the style and cooking flair of two of the outstanding stars of the Cornish Culinary scene.

Nathan Outlaw from nearby Rock, proud holder of 2 Michelin Stars and Padstow based Paul Ainsworth of No 6, this year’s winner of the Great British Menu, will be bring their style and expertise to the Boscastle Festival stage during the weekend with practical demonstrations and tastings of their latest creations.

As well as these two giants of Cornwall’s foodie scene the Boscastle Festival cookery line up includes other talented North Cornwall Chefs, including:- Andy Appleton from Fifteen Cornwall, Adrian Oliver from Margot’s Padstow assisted by Phil Thomas from Rosewarne Manor. Paul Harwood fromRick Steins St Petrocs,Aaron Jane from Silks Atlantic Hotel Newquay, Martin Dorey from the National Trust, Martin Dorey Presenter & author of Camper Van Cooking.

Combine this with a village full of interesting local arts and crafts, the opportunity to visit a rarely opened sculpture garden and marquees packed to the gunnels with a local produce market offering the taste of Cornwall with such delights as from curry ice cream to organic beread, there's a vast range of exciting tastes and textures to be explored - the weekend is just simmering with great tastes and talent!
