This prestigious annual event blends radical contemporary designers’ work with the classic styling of the stunning Queen Anne house and gardens at Trereife. The Cornwall Design Fair is organised in association with Hidden Art – an influential organisation that helps promote and support designers throughout the UK.
The fair features some of the best up and coming and established designers in Cornwall, attracting a wide range of work from across the country in part due to the enthusiastic attention in the press after Trereife was featured on Channel 4’s ‘Country House Rescue’. Three marquees in the grounds showcase a wide variety of furniture, ceramics, glass, lighting, jewellery, textiles and fashion accessories. On site is a dedicated site art team installing work around the gardens and an area incorporating demonstrations and workshops by Hidden Art members.
The Fair is set in the beautiful grounds of Trereife House the home of the Le Grice family since 1798 and steeped in history. Situated less than a mile west of Penzance with direct access from the main A30, the house is proving to be a very popular venue for the Cornwall Design Fair, with the event previously attracting over 4000 visitors.
Just off the A30 towards Land's End to the West of Penzance
Buses from Penzance go to Newlyn and Alverton estate from where Trereife is around a 10 minute walk
