Sunday 18th September 2011, will see the 25th FOWEY RIVER TRIATHLON start at 9.00a.m.
Fowey River Lions Club once again are staging the annual Fowey River Triathlon. Every year they donate proceeds from this event to charity. They were able to donate £1,500 to the local Scout Group and Air Cadets from our 2010 triathlon. This, the 26th event takes place on Sunday 18th September 2011. The start time will be 9.00am to coincide with high water. The maximum number of starters is 100, the event is popular so do not delay, download your entry form and post it to us now, or just come along and support this fantastic event
The event is more challenging than the listing as a sprint event suggests. The unique course starts and finishes on Fowey Town Quay, being a circular course taken in the undulating Cornish countryside. A 600m swim across the River Fowey to Polruan, is followed by a 29k road cycle to Lostwithiel. The 12k run is on road and fields to return to Fowey Town Quay.
The members of Fowey River Lions Club look forward to meeting you all in September.
