Run to the Sun Festival

Since its conception a quarter of a century ago, Run to the Sun has grown into one of the largest custom car, VW and dance festivals in Europe. The long weekend is billed as nothing corporate or cumbersome - a proper festival, an ‘anything goes’ festival.

Expect lot of VWs and custom cars along with their enthusiasts, three nights of live entertainment featuring DJ's, visual performers and laser shows along with live bands, a chill-out tent and stand-up comedy.

Some people come for the cars, some for the surf, some for the DJs and others for the unique ‘anything goes’ atmosphere that the organisers are passionate about keeping. In the main arena world class DJs keep the party going till dawn. Arena two hosts a great line up of upcoming comedians and ends off with a bit of a disco, while in arena three the head phone led silent disco is where the party is for your ears only. In the more chilled arena four, accoustic sessions and lazy summer drinking provide a relaxed vibe. The event village is the hub for socializing and getting a bite to eat, along with stocking up on clubbing gear and Run to the Sun merchandize from the various trade stands. On site there are 300 caravans and plenty of camping space where you can embrace the coastal lifestyle.

Run to the Sun started life as a VW car rally back in 1987, and now attracts up to 100,000 visitors every year.
