Saltash Regatta and Waterside Festival

What is the event all about?
Saltash Regatta is one of the most colourful and popular waterside festivals in South East Cornwall. You will find  traditional gig rowing championships and fun rowing events as well as entertainment on the shore.

What happens?
The regatta includes Cornish Pilot Gig rowing with over 150 crews competing in the Mixed Veteran & Junior Championships. There is also the England and Back fancy dress race and Five Towns amateur rowing events. There will also be RNLI demonstrations. On land the Regatta offers family entertainment: live bands, a vibrant street market, craft stalls and a new Childrens World with entertainers and rides.

How can visitors take part?
The theme is “Pirates of the Tamar” – come dressed as a Pirate and you could win a prize! Entry and park and ride is free.

Did you know?
2013 was the 178th Saltash Regatta making the event older than the more famous Henley.
