Looe Festival of Food & Drink

28 June – 29 June

Looe Festival of Food & Drink

Plans for 2014 are subject to confirmation

What is the event about?
The Looe Festival of Food and Drink is showcasing local produce and local suppliers, allowing visitors to the area to enjoy and sample a true taste of Cornwall and introducing diverse suppliers and produce to the locals.  It will also act as a wonderful backdrop for any visitors to consider visiting the beautiful coastal town of Looe and neighboroughing towns and villages.

What happens?
A marquee housing producers selling their wares, from Cornish teas and coffee to Cornish wines, from fresh fish and seafood to locally made jams and chutneys.  A chefs demonstration area where visitors can sit and enjoy local chefs cooking up some fabulous dishes.  Finally, a choice of hot and cold food, from vegetarian to spicy Paella, to sample.

How can visitors take part?
Visitors can purchase any produce that takes their fancy, sample some wonderful Cornish food and drink and enjoy the chefs demonstrations - taking away with them the recipes for them to try at home.  Beyond the Festival, Looe itself is well worth a visit with many attractions for visitors and locals.

Did you know?
2013 was the second year the festival was held in Looe.  Looe itself is one of Cornwall's most historic fishing towns.
