As the evenings pull in and the weather gets colder, Cornwall is getting ready for bonfire night. With spectacular displays all across the county there are too many to choose from; but here are 10 suggestions to start you off. Fireworks Night at Retallack Resort & Spa, Saint Columb Major

Thursday 26th October, 5.30pm

This evening of family fun will include live music, face painting, a Halloween show, food and drink, sparklers and popcorn. The fireworks will start at 7pm and it’s free entry.

Charity Bonfire Night, Tremorvah Playing Field, Truro

Friday 3rd November, 5pm

This magical bonfire and fireworks display will include glow sticks, sparklers, hot food & refreshments. The event will raise money for Cornwall Air Ambulance and Penhaligon’s Friends. 

Whitsand Bay Fort Bonfire Night Party

Saturday 4th November, 6pm

A free family event in a stunning location, overlooking Whitsand Bay. There will be fireworks and sparklers, marshmallows to toast on the fire pit, and a delicious barbecue.

Polperro Fireworks Display

Saturday 4th November, 6pm

This annual display which takes place at Peak Rock is always popular with both visitors and locals. Why not head to one of Polperro’s cosy pubs after the display for a tasty meal?

Tregony Sports Club Fireworks

Saturday 4th November, 6.30pm

A brilliant family event with a barbecue, refreshments, a licensed bar, children’s rides and a ‘Best Guy’ competition. Look out for ‘Parking’ signs on the evening as the event is usually very busy and parking in Tregony is limited.

Heron Inn, Malpas Fireworks

Saturday 4th November, 6.30pm

This free event is the perfect setting for fireworks, right beside the river. There will be a hog roast, Gin bar and Cornish Duck Truck. There is a park & ride from Boscawen Park commencing at 5pm.

Firework Display at Magpies Football Ground, Penzance

Saturday 4th November, 5.30pm

As well as the popular firework display, there will be food on sale, plus live entertainment including the Penzance Silver Band. The firework display will be set to music and will start at 7pm.

Bonfire & Grand Firework Display, Priory Park, Bodmin

Sunday 5th November, 6pm

Enjoy live music from 6pm and explore the funfair, sidestalls and burger & hot dog tents. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, followed by a fabulous firework display. Please note that sparklers are not allowed at this event.

St Agnes Fireworks

Sunday 5th November, 5.30pm

This much-loved event at the Driftwood Spars Hotel in Trevaunance Cove features a kids’ entertainer, mulled wine and cider for the adults, a BBQ, fish and chips and toffee apples, plus the impressive firework display and bonfire.

Heartlands Fireworks Display, Pool

Sunday 5th November, 6pm

Heartlands at Pool will be hosting their 3rd free annual bonfire night celebration, showcasing local musicians, plus activities and entertainment for all the family. The Red River Cafe will be serving up supper, book to avoid disappointment.
