Wander around the Village
From various shops and cafes to great potteries and art galleries Boscastle is a brilliant place to explore.
While looking around the various shops you should also look at all the different buildings that have been converted creating a charming character to the village.
Take a scenic walk
Boscastle is located in one of the best places to take a beautiful walk with many different options available. A popular route is from Boscastle to Pentargon Waterfall, where the Coast Path runs between a stone hedge and the open grassland topping the cliffs. With this route you can see the ‘blowhole’ if you are there around about an hour before or after low tide time you may see it blowing a horizontal waterspout halfway across the harbour entrance.
Play Pooh Sticks
The new lower bridge at Boscastle has been announced by Visit England as one of the top 12 places to play the famous children’s game of Pooh Sticks, so when visiting how could you not have a go!
Visit the renowned Museum of Witchcraft
One of Cornwall’s most popular museums is located in Boscastle and houses the worlds largest collection of witchcraft artefacts. It is a fascinating place to visit with over 2000 objects on display for you to learn more about, from information on charms to a section on Cornish Piskies, it is a truly unique experience.
Winner of many awards, including the 2014/2015 Cornwall Tourism award for Café and Tearoom of the year, it brings together great local produce to create fantastic food in their café as well as giving you the opportunity to buy the high quality produce in the Farmshop.
Newly opened this year Boscastle Fishing Company gives you the chance to buy fresh lobster and crab that landed in Boscastle Harbour from their boat. They also sell simple crab sandwiches or a delicious lobster roll that is popular amongst visitors.
Overlooking the River Valency with spectacular views and delicious food made from food supplied locally. Surrounded by the countryside it gives visitors a variety of different options from farmed meat to locally caught fish to enjoy.
