Explore Cornwall by Train: Truro to Falmouth

Truro is the UK’s most southerly city, with lots to explore during your visit. The town centre has both independent shops and high street shops for you to discover.   Discover more about the history of Cornwall at the Royal Cornwall Museum there are also events that are put on throughout the year. You can also visit the popular Truro Cathedral. There are many beautiful parks and gardens including Victorian Gardens offering a place of calm amongst the city with stunning plants.

The harbour town of Falmouth is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty located along the Fal River. It is a great artistic town with many art galleries that show independent artists and films. The Falmouth Art Gallery is a must visit! It is also a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy as you can visit the award-winning National Maritimes Museum filled with interesting exhibits for all of the family. There is also nearby beaches such as Gyllyngvase Beach, for you to explore and try out  snorkelling, surfing or rock pooling. You can also discover more of Cornwall by using the local ferry to visit the harbour town of St Mawes or you can return to Truro using their services
