Falmouth Tall Ships Regatta 2014 – In a nutshell

From 28 to 31 August 2014, Falmouth is set to stage a nautical epic, welcoming over 47 sail training vessels from around the world, including 12 of the magnificent and mighty square-rigged Tall Ships, hosting the start of the Falmouth to Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta.

What to expect

The main event will take place in Falmouth Docks where Tall Ships will be open to the public from 1200 – 2000 on Thursday 28 August, from 1000 – 2000 on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August.  

The whole town will be involved in a packed programme of shore side activities and live music from 11.00am to 11.00pm daily, most of which is free.   A Grand Firework Display will take place on Saturday 30th August at 9.30pm over the Carrick Roads.

The ships will leave Falmouth in a spectacular Parade of Sail to the start line off Falmouth Bay on Sunday 31st August, from 11.00am to 2.00pm.  Key viewing points for the Parade of Sail are Pendennis Point, Gyllyngvase, Swanpool, Maenporth, St Mawes, St Anthony Head and Rosemullion Head.
