Heligan Night Garden
Something lovely to get you in the festive spirit.
At this time of the year, it is difficult to get excited about a night out. With the cost-of-living crisis looming over us all and world affairs which are sometimes too scary to contemplate.
If, like me, things have been a little overwhelming recently, then let me share a little secret.
I recently visited The Lost Gardens of Heligan for an evening of what can only be described as a little slice of heaven. The light displays for their current event, Heligan Night Garden are truly something to behold.
A little like November 5th, there were plenty of oooh’s and aaah’s around every corner. From woodland creatures to shooting stars, the attention to detail is truly beautiful.
With many firepits dotted around, and offerings of mulled wine help to set the scene, I spent a very happy evening, on what would normally have just been a cold December night wondering what repeats to watch on TV.
If you are in the area, and are able, make it a family event. There were many family groups with both young and old sharing in the wonder of the twinkly lights and the smell of an open fire. It is truly magical.
There are also some beautiful gifts available as leave if you are looking for something unique for that special someone.
The photo’s just do not do it justice. You must see it with you own eyes. Make some memories this Christmas.
You can see them for yourself until 2nd January. Booking online is easy, just click here
