Enjoy the water

A great way of exploring Mevagissey's scenery and sealife is on the Mevagissey to Fowey Passenger Ferry; you may be fortunate enough to spot seals, basking sharks and dolphins. Alternatively, admire the view from the water's edge and go crabbing at high tide or rock-pooling at low tide. You can also travel to nearby Pentewan to have a go at paddle boarding, kayaking and other watersports.

You'll be spoilt for choice with beautiful beaches when staying in Mevagissey, several of which are dog-friendly all year round. Discover Hemmick, a secret sandy beach which is great for sun bathing; go for a swim and play beach games at Porthpean; or stop off at the gorgeous Gorran Haven for a picnic whilst walking the South West Coast Path.

Food

A visit to Mevagissey is not complete without a trip to Digby's Sweet Shop and The Cornish Fudge Shop. You'll be spoilt for choice for your evening meal with traditional Cornish pubs such as The Ship and The Harbour Tavern, as well as fine dining options at Salamander or Trevalsa Court Hotel Restaurant.
