Visit Cornwall Summit 2019
Do you want to find out more about what your customers will want from you from now to 2025 and beyond?
Then come to the 2019 Visit Cornwall Summit where you will hear about the trends, research insights and predictions to help you prepare for the challenge over the next few years.
Equally help us to create a vision and plan for Cornish Tourism going forward over the coming decade, not only for you but to drive Visit Cornwall’s planning and influence stakeholders in Cornish Tourism.
Last, but certainly not least, there will be insights and advice on how your business can benefit from visitors from the USA, where we have identified at least 100% growth potential from independent travellers. They are higher spenders and prefer to come in spring and early summer and want to stay and experience real Cornwall and Cornish hospitality.
Our first guest speaker to be announced is Bernard Donoghue, Director of ALVA
Bernard has been the Director of ALVA since September 2011 following a career in advocacy, communications and lobbying, latterly at a senior level in the tourism and heritage sector. In May of 2017 the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, appointed Bernard to be the Mayor's Ambassador for Cultural Tourism and a member of the Mayor's Cultural Leadership Board.
Between 2015 and 2017 he was Chairman of the Tourism Alliance, which ALVA was instrumental in founding in 2001. It is the representative body for over 200,000 businesses across the whole of the tourism sector in England; from airlines and airports, cities and destinations, the hospitality industry, restaurants, attractions, B&Bs, caravan parks and business conferences and events. Between 2014 and 2015 he was Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Alliance.
This years Tourism Summit will take place at the Headland Hotel, Newquay on January 29th 2019.
