Tucked down a no-through lane leading to St Ervan church and a stream by a mill, it is ideally located for reaching the stunning coastline from Trevone Bay to Watergate Bay, as well as the harbour town of Padstow, and the historic market town of Wadebridge. St Ervan is just a short drive from the sandy beaches of Portcothan, Treyarnon, Constantine, Harlyn and Trevone Bays, and Mawgan Porth. The stunning coastline at Bedruthan Steps can also be reached in less than 10 minutes. A slightly longer drive will take you to Watergate Bay where you will find a vast beach loved by surfers, watersports enthusiasts and walkers. For foodies, the restaurants of Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth, and many others in Padstow, can be easily reached, and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen is just along the coast at Watergate Bay. The renowned Cornish Arms pub, also owned by Rick Stein, is just a 5 minute drive away.
The 250-year-old farmhouse, once the village inn, has been recently restored with love and care to provide comfortable and luxurious accommodation. Bedrooms are all en-suite (with either bath or shower) and furnished in muted colours with super-comfy beds and individual furniture and accessories. Complimentary room facilities including hot drinks tray, homemade cookies, white fluffy towels, toiletries, completely silent fridge, flatscreen tv, ipod dock, hairdryer and minibar with soft drinks and confectionery (chargeable). There is free unlimited wi-fi throughout the house. Breakfast includes a buffet and hot food options using quality local products, and is served in the breakfast room overlooking the terraced gardens. There is an adjoining comfortable guest lounge with patio doors to the garden where you will find tv, games, maps and local information.
Complimentary cream tea is served on arrival, and homemade cake provided every afternoon for guests choosing to spend time relaxing at the house. Guests can borrow cycles, beach equipment and towels, picnic items, etc and a packed lunch can be provided on request.
