Location

From Sandbank House you can easily head out on foot or jump in the car for a short drive to all the beautiful countryside and coast that Cornwall has to offer. From the Hayle Estuary to Godrevy, you can stroll across three miles of golden beaches, three stretches of Towans (sand dunes) and then head onto the South West Coastal Path all the way to Portreath (next cove).

Specialist bird watching spots and nature reserves are dotted along this wonderful coastal hike. Sandbank House is ideally situated for the many local attractions including National Trust gardens, Tate Gallery St. Ives, and golf breaks at some of the most spectacular west country courses overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. With unrivalled scenery including dramatic cliffs, white sandy beaches and clear-blue sea, it is a truly beautiful area to simply enjoy. 

The nearest town of Hayle (two miles) has all you need, including award winning fish and chips, great bar/bistro, health food café, fabulous little Italian and of course (not to be missed) Mr Bs Ice Cream Parlour. Just a couple of miles down the road there is a traditional pub for a night of chatting over great ales, a good selection of wines and a hearty menu.
