The world is your castle...

Creating the homely atmosphere, guests have the exclusive use of the Castle and its extensive facilities, including the large farmhouse style AGA kitchen, the elegant dining room, and the outdoor solar-heated swimming pool (open April – September). For the little kids (and big kids) there is a dedicated games room in the cellar with a widescreen smart TV, billiards, table tennis and a darts board.

Whilst staying at Pentillie, guests are welcome to borrow a pair of wellies from the Castle boot room to explore the 55-acres of woodland gardens. There are many spectacular walks around the estate, including paths through the Lime Avenue and American Gardens, to Sir James Tillie's mysterious mausoleum and down to the river quay to the picturesque Bathing Hut. Hiring the castle exclusively ensures that you will be the only guests at the castle during your stay.

My family and I had a wonderful time during our long weekend at Pentillie. The venue is first class: beautiful, elegant, comfortable (oh the beds!), spotlessly clean and extraordinarily well-equipped. The gardens are glorious, the staff are courteous yet friendly, and a special mention must be made of your efforts to accommodate guests with limited mobility. I had the best birthday I could have wished for. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
