Higher Culloden Farm is nestled between Bodmin Moor and the North Cornwall coast, with so much for you to do...
Guests love to join in with animal feeding on the farm in the mornings, meeting the alpacas, pigs, chickens and rabbits. The huge sandpit is always a winner with little ones too and for bigger ones, there is table tennis.
After feeding time, head out to explore some of Cornwall's best beaches such as Polzeath, Daymer, Bude and Widemouth, wander through old fishing villages like Port Isaac and Boscastle, go on a sealife safari from Padstow, cycle the Camel Trail together, or discover ancient Tintagel Castle – all just a short drive away. Eden Project is a bit further, around 40 minutes, and well worth a day trip.
If that all sounds like too much effort, why not while away a lazy day on the farm? Take the loop walk and explore our 15-acres at your leisure. Stop to skim stones and splash in the stream, discover the hidden den, then walk back up the ancient cattle track. Will you spot where the piskies live?
After a day of adventure, enjoy a friendly gathering at the Cornish Campfire Cooking Corner, hire the pizza oven for the evening or borrow one of the barbecues. A second firepit is available in the stargazing field if you want somewhere a bit quieter and darker (we are within Bodmin Moor Dark Skies Landscape). Firewood and local charcoal are available to buy onsite, as well as camping pack hire with all the stuff you might need, and other useful extras. And if you don't feel like cooking, it's a short five-minute walk into the heart of town where you'll find award-winning fish and chips, cracking curry and a welcoming pub.
The cosy off-grid pods sleep two with plenty of space or up to family of four (bring your own bedding) with a kingsize double and two small children's bench beds suitable for up to about 11 years old. Each pod has a private lockable bathroom in the same field so you can leave your stuff in there for the duration. Charge your devices in the shared-kitchen lockers where you'll also find a microwave, kettle, toaster and small fridge. There's also a large campers' barn with picnic tables and a freezer should you need it.
Higher Culloden Farm has all the best bits of camping with the family, without the hassle of actually camping! Book today with just 20% deposit.

"We spent a wonderful long weekend at Higher Culloden Farm and enjoyed every moment. Our children (age 5 and 3) loved roaming around the beautifully kept site, feeding the animals in the morning and collecting eggs for breakfast. The site is in a beautiful location and the pods are spacious, warm and comfortable. Our own shower room where we could leave our towels, toothbrushes etc was a great addition, as was the shared kitchen. The firepit and pizza oven were easy to use and brilliantly placed (easy to cook and enjoy a drink while keeping an eye on the little ones in the nearby sandpit/play area). From the site, there are lots of beaches and attractions within 30 mins drive so it's a great location to explore the area from."
