Historic Coastal Resort on the Borders of Devon & Cornwall

2021 holidays at the Fort will be focusing on quiet 'retreat' style holiday break. You will be able to enjoy the extensive sea and country views, the history and the beautiful sandy beaches of the Bay on your doorstep.

Discover the untouched land of the infamous 'Forgotten Corner' located on the border of Devon and Cornwall.  Tucked away quietly within the beautiful Rame Peninsula lies Whitsand Bay Fort, which just peaks over the white sands of Whitsand Bay Beach, one of the Top 10 Dog Friendly Beaches within Cornwall.

The Fort sits imperiously at the highest point of the peninsula, offering far reaching panoramic views. Luxury family lodges holidays, camping and touring park areas, Tamar view B&B suites, and our most loved Radar Heights Cottage which was once a Radar Station built within the 1930's.

Proud to be an English Heritage Designated Ancient Monument

Bask in the glorious British Heritage of this once Napoleonic Fort, explore the hidden architecture, gun emplacements, underground tunnels and take a tour of the Fort with the history expert every Sunday.  Located just a short distance from the popular Cornish spots of Kingsand and Cawsand which have recently ranked 3 in the most beautiful places in Cornwall, a few miles west of Britain's Ocean City Plymouth and east of Looe.
