Beach Life

Near to beautiful beaches, this sand dune fringed Park provides a peaceful environment in which to spend a memorable holiday. Designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, the dunes are a haven for wildlife and a child’s dream playground, enticing visitors with the promise of the stunning Gwithian Beach and the sea which swells a short stroll from the park.

The lighthouse made famous by Virginia Woolf in ‘To the Lighthouse’ provides a stunning backdrop to the beaches in this Bay, where bathing, rock pooling and surfing are popular pastimes. Nearby is The National Trust owned Godrevy Beach and Godrevy Point which offers a dramatic setting for an evening picnic, watching the sun descend behind the lighthouse or spotting seals and dolphins in the waters below.

Explore Coast Life

Between Godrevy and Portreath is some of the most spectacular scenery on the Cornish Coast best experienced on footpaths, but also accessible by car or by local bus which stops at the park.

Great by Light and Night Life

St. Ives is another local treasure, its’ magical light and quaint fishing harbour the inspiration for artists past and present. Their work is celebrated in the Tate Gallery as well as many studios huddled with cafes, restaurants and craft-shops along the narrow streets of the town. Blue Flag beaches, fishing, boat trips and leisure facilities can be enjoyed here, all within easy access by car, bus or train.
