The Beach At Bude
It features 16 en suite bedrooms decorated in a New England seaside style, with limed oak furniture, Vi-Spring beds, Lloyd Loom chairs and duck down duvets and pillows, and a good number of the rooms offer sea views and balconies.
The rooms are split across four grades - Classic, Classic Plus, Superior and Deluxe. Two family-friendly suites will be opening in May 2017, featuring self-catering facilities and direct access to the bar and restaurant.
The hotel’s relaxed restaurant is presided over by head chef Joe Simmonds, who trained with Sam Moody at the Michelin-starred Priory Hotel in Bath. Open daily for lunch and dinner to both hotel guests and non-residents, the menus champion local and seasonal produce, with an emphasis on seafood.
The bar and restaurant offer panoramic views of Summerleaze Beach, with a sizeable heated terrace open when weather permits.
The bar is popular with locals and lively during the evenings and at weekends, with regular DJs and live music creating a great atmosphere. The cocktail menu is extensive, combining specialist concoctions with unique takes on the classics.
