The inviting guest bedrooms are located both above the 150-year-old pub and in its delightful Georgian townhouse, which lies on the harbourside just in front of the inn. Each bedroom is en-suite and adorned with unique character features. Superior and Suite rooms enjoy harbour and sea views.

Charlestown is an iconic port that will transport you back to a bygone era. Fans of the BBC’s Poldark will recognise the scenery used to depict the port of Truro and Falmouth in the series. Wander down to the Grade II listed harbour and marvel at the Tall Ships as you pass quaint, unspoiled cottages along the way.

The Shipwreck and Heritage Centre offers a fascinating insight into the history of the village, the area’s China Clay industry, and the stories of ships wrecked off the coast. Attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are also nearby.

I was returning to Charlestown after many years and despite the rain had a very enjoyable stay. My room in T’Gallants (at the rear) was very comfortable with nice luxurious touches such as real coffee machine, Teapigs teabags, shortbread and a white waffle robe. Views from the front are over the historic harbour.

The Rashleigh is an award-winning bed and breakfast situated in the iconic fishing village of Charlestown, a stunning coastal destination that has been featured in a variety of films and TV series, including the Cornish favourite, Poldark. Pop in for a pint of award-winning ale or get cosy with a bite to eat from our delicious menu that champions local produce. Dine inside or soak up the rays from our outdoor area. Enjoy a seaside holiday with a stay in one of our stylish rooms.
