Mennabroom Farm Cottages

StarStarStarStar

Welcome to Mennabroom Farm.

Mennabroom is a small country estate on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor in South East Cornwall. The 13th century farmhouse offers luxury bed and breakfast accommodation and self catering stays in the three 17th century barn conversion cottages. All the buildings are Grade II listed and have been sympathetically restored.

The bed and breakfast accommodation comprises one luxury super king sized/twin bedded room and one king-sized bedroom, each with en-suite facilities. Both are well appointed, with views over the gardens, courtyard and moor beyond. In addition to the rooms in the house, we can also offer flexible bed and breakfast in theByre Cottage across the courtyard, where breakfast can either be delivered to your door and enjoyed in the cottage, or taken in the main farmhouse.

    Amenities

    • WiFi
    • Garden views
    • Laundry
    • Rural & Countryside

The cottages have one, two and three bedrooms and can sleep two, four and six respectively.

The house is set in the wooded valley of the River Dewey, a tributary of the River Fowey, and visitors are most welcome to wander our 15 acres of land and explore the riverside path and ancient woodland.

Food is important to us at Mennabroom, so we source all our foodstuffs locally wherever possible: Our bacon and sausages come from Philip Warren of Launceston, dairy products from Trewithen Dairies and eggs from local free-range chickens. Our bread is all homemade, as are most of our preserves.

Situated midway between north and south coasts and close to both the A30 and A38, Mennabroom is perfectly situated for a wide range of holiday pursuits. So whether you want to laze on the sandy beaches of the north coast or go in search of the literary and TV locations associated with Daphne du Maurier, Rosamund Pilcher, Poldark and Doc Martin, or experience the beauty of moorland walks or explore a dazzling array of quintessentially Cornish fishing villages (many of which are within 30 minutes’ drive), we would be delighted if you made Mennabroom your holiday base.

Minutes from the village of St. Neot (with church, pub and village shop) and yet still under a nationally acclaimed ‘dark sky, Mennabroom is in areas of outstanding natural beauty and significant historical interest. We look forward to sharing our ‘little bit of heaven’ with you.
