This perfectly describes the beautiful setting for this barn conversion, providing self catering holiday accommodation for up to 6 people. Set alongside our farm in a quiet hamlet with it's own separate entrance, the cottage enjoys wonderful views of the North Cornwall countryside. We were delighted to hear that we had received a Recognition Of Service Excellence (ROSE) Award from Visit England in October 2017.
There are miles of footpaths to walk and discover the varied flora and fauna abundant in this peaceful rural location. The barn has a range of guide books and maps for guests to borrow during their visit. We also have games for use both indoors and in the safe enclosed garden. Many visitors return here many times as they find it such a relaxing place to just sit and unwind. The fully equipped kitchen can be used to self cater or you may choose to visit some of the great places to eat locally; many of the coastal cafes and pubs also have fantastic views.
We are situated in an ideal position for exploring Cornwall and Devon. Both the North and South Cornish coasts are easily accessible (20 minute drive to Crackington Haven and Boscastle) with sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and quiet coves. The historic market town of Launceston is just 5 miles away, offering a range of shops, services and local attractions including the Steam Railway and Castle. Trethorne (golf and leisure farm), Hidden Valley, Cowslips Workshop, Tamar Otter and Widlife Centre, Dingles Fairgound Heritage Centre, Roadford Lake, the Tamar Valley and Bodmin Moor are just some of the places less than 20 minutes away. There are a huge number of National Trust and English Heritage properties, gardens, museums and attractions including Eden Project all easily accessible. During the year many events are held in the area offering an insight into local cultures and history.
Please contact us for any further information or to enquire about short or extended breaks. We offer discounts for 2 people (sharing one bedroom) and 2 week bookings.
We invite you to come and stay at Gospenheale Barn where you will be met with a warm welcome and a Cornish cream tea.
