The lounge/diner, overlooking a large, mature garden, has colour TV, DVD/CD player and radio and there is a paved sitting area facing south – perfect for a relaxing holiday. The separate kitchen has electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine and is well equipped. All the rooms including the shower room are on one level. One double bedroom and one twin-bedded bedroom. BED LINEN is provided free of charge.
Adjoining Dromona there are walks along the Red River Valley to Tehidy Country Park with lake and to the coastal footpath with its spectacular views. Carn Brea Leisure Centre with indoor swimming pool, etc. and Tehidy Golf Club are ten minutes’ drive away. We live nearby – to welcome you and offer assistance if needed. We are interested in wild flowers, birds and other wildlife and are glad to give advice on walks, reserves and local history.
We are only one mile from the Atlantic Heritage Coast and close to Portreath with its harbour, beach, cafes and Gwithian which has three miles of golden sands, swimming, surfing and views across the bay to St Ives – Seals are common and, if you are lucky, you might see Dolphins. Our nearest town is Camborne one and a half miles’ away and we are about five minutes off the A30 so are centrally situated for touring and exploring Cornwall: St Ives (with the Tate Modern art gallery), Falmouth (with the National Maritime Museum, pleasant beaches and boat trips), the city of Truro (Cathedral and shops), Land’s End, St Michael’s Mount, the Eden Project and several beautiful gardens.
