Approached by a long driveway, this former farmhouse with the holiday cottage lies in an acre of garden in the village of Cury, near Mullion – not far from Helston and Porthleven – at the western edge of the beautiful Lizard Peninsula. It has a peaceful and quiet location. It is just a 5-minute drive from the beautiful Poldhu Cove with its child-friendly, life-guarded beach and award-winning café.
We are very well placed to enjoy all the delights of the Lizard Peninsula with its stunning scenery and coastal walks.
The attractive garden behind the house is shared with the owners, Robert and Tricia Wright next door, who encourage guests to make the best possible use of it. It has lovely glimpses of Mounts Bay over Gunwalloe and across the Bay to Mousehole.
The comfortable accommodation comprises one double en-suite bedroom, one twin en-suite bedroom and one single room – plus a cot. A high chair is available. There is a separate bathroom featuring a beautiful roll-top bath.
The lovely, cosysitting room has a wood-burning stove and there is a new, fully-fitted and well-equipped kitchen/diner.
The kitchen/diner overlooks the side and rear gardens. The first floor rooms have far reaching rural views.
The fully-fitted kitchen includes an electric oven with a ceramic hob, dishwasher and microwave.
Off the kitchen is a utility room with direct access to the lovely garden behind the house. The utility room contains a fridge-freezer and washer-dryer together with buckets and spades ready for the beach!
Bed linen, WiFi and Freeview TVs/DVDs are provided. One hand towel and one bath towel are provided per person. Guests are expected to bring their own beach towels. There is a portable BBQ in the garden shed.
We regret that we are unable to accept pets. We are also non-smoking. Please note also that we are unable to accept more than two children less than 10 years of age.
The change over day is Friday.
