...Black Moon is one of the most delightful one-bedroom holiday lets in Cornwall. Designed with romantics in mind, the private apartment, which is dominated by an unforgettable sea view, is the dream setting for an escape to St Ives.
Its open plan kitchen and living area will suit anyone who likes a little luxury with their rustic sea retreats. The living room boasts floor to ceiling glass doors that open onto a majestic panoramic view of St Ives bay and the Gwithian lighthouse. The water is so close that at high tide, it crashes against the side of the house, filling the property with that wonderful salty smell that immediately says ‘holiday’.
And better yet, an Enid Blyton-style trap door leads you down to your own private cave below the living room where you can lie on the fur rugs with a glass of champagne and watch the sun set over the sea through the window that is built into the stone wall.
The bedroom, meanwhile, is separated from the living room by a sliding mirrored wall, allowing for some truly incredible St Ives sea views. To the rear of the bedroom is the en-suite bathroom with a full-size bath and walk-in shower.
Check in is at 4.00pm and check out is at 10:00am.
Black Moon comes with a private parking space which is a five-minute walk from the property. This parking space is suitable for all types of cars. Should you require more than one parking space Beachspoke also owns a private secure car parking space that is available at an additional charge. Situated at the end of Backroad East, Black Moon sits right on Bamaluz Beach within the vibrant artist’s district of St Ives and moments away from ‘The Island’, a beautiful spit of land on the northern side of the town. Within a five-minute walk of the property, you can find at least a dozen top quality restaurants, art galleries, craft shops and some of England’s best beaches, including Porthmeor and Porthgwidden.
There is a multitude of gourmet food options in St Ives — our favourites include morning pastries at the St Ives bakery, lunch at the Porthminster Kitchen and evening drinks at The Loft.
