Blue Moon Cottage

Dog Friendly
Blue Moon was once a modest fisherman’s cottage...

...and now is a cosy, creative space, cleverly designed and decked with stylish details set across two levels.

Upstairs, the main bedroom has a custom-built super king-size bed, a built-in wardrobe and a flat-screen SMART TV— and the room feels wonderfully atmospheric thanks to the exposed rafters of the original roof. Next door, there is a dressing room with a custom built desk, cupboard and full length mirror. There is also space to fit a travel cot in the dressing room.*

*Please note that the cottages are small with steep steps – they have not been built with children in mind. We do not provide a highchair or a cot. If you are travelling with a small baby, please bring your own.

Downstairs, there is an open-plan kitchen and living area with a deep-set sofa for three and another flat screen SMART TV. Just opposite the bottom of the stairs is the shower room with a loo. The kitchen has all you need for a self-catered break. There is a 4-ring electric induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, kettle, Nespresso machine, toaster, cutlery, crockery, glasses, mugs, pots and pans.  Milk, olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, tea and herbal teas and a few Nespresso pods are provided. A bottle of Cremant will be in the fridge for your arrival.

Please do enjoy complimentary WiFi, electric heating, Freeview, and electric under-floor heating in Blue Moon.

Whilst being a dog-friendly cottage, Blue Moon can only accept small-medium dogs for an additional £30. We kindly ask that they do not go on the furniture or into the bedroom area upstairs.

Check in is at 4.00pm and check out is at 10:00am.

Blue Moon comes with a private parking space located in a small courtyard underneath the property. The entrance to the courtyard is steep and narrow so this space is only suitable for small/medium size saloon or estate cars (for example a VW Polo) and not suitable for 4X4, large estate cars, sports cars or people carriers. Should you have a bigger car, we own a private secure car parking space in St Ives that is available at an additional charge. Please contact us to enquire about availability and cost.

Blue Moon is located on Porthmeor Road and is moments away from Porthmeor Beach on the northern side of the town, an area known for its thriving artist community. This means your feet can be in the sand mere minutes after stepping out of your front door. Although you are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches in St Ives — a five-minute stroll through the cobbled streets will bring you to Bamaluz, Porthgwidden and the harbour beach, along with dozens of high-quality restaurants, art galleries and craft shops.

There’s a multitude of exciting food options in St Ives, our favourites include lunch at the Porthminster Kitchen, evening drinks at The Loft and morning pastries from the St Ives bakery.
