Chapel Bar Beach
Chapel Bar lies at the mouth of the River Camel in north Cornwall, a 10 minute walk from Padstow between Chidley Pumps (Lower beach) and St George's Well Cove.
At low tide, a vast, wide expanse of sand is revealed which stretches around 1½ miles. There are fine views of the Camel estuary from the beach witt Daymers Bay on the opposite side of the estuary. At high tide most of the beach is submerged and the 'Doom Bar' sand bank, which protects the estuary from the strength of the Atlantic.
Please Note: There is a seasonal dog ban at St George's Well Cove to the north of this beach.
All facilities are located in the town of Padstow.
