West Cornwall
Loe Bar beach is a half mile shingle bank which separates the Loe, the largest natural fresh water lake in Cornwall, from the sea.  Loe Bar was originally the mouth of the River Cober which led to a harbour in Helston.

Good Beach Guide Recommended 2017: Gunwalloe is an attractive south-west facing cove on the Lizard with a stream running through the sandy beach that is ideal for paddling. A seasonal dog ban is in place.

Accessed by a 20 minute walk, this undeveloped, peaceful cove is framed by lush countryside and towering cliffs. Dog-friendly all year. 

South Coast > Falmouth
Family friendly, buggy friendly, great amenities, good access, good for watersports and a 10 minute walk from Falmouth town centre. A seasonal dog ban operates on ths beach.

Over half a mile of east-facing sandy beach, mostly in front of Pentewan Sands Caravan Park, suitable for swimming, surfing, windsurfing, sea canoeing and with a slipway for sailing.  

South Coast > Looe
Looe offers a very popular, traditional family holiday sandy beach backed by a terraced promenade and close to the town. 

West Cornwall
Three glorious miles of sand and steeply shelving shingle running east from the historic harbour, popular with experienced surfers.
