It's official, Visit Cornwall, has awarded APPROVED Family Friendly their Recognised Inspection Scheme programme.

APPROVED Family Friendly have been fully evaluated and approved by Visit Cornwall and are already working with various caravan parks, touring parks, restaurants, hotels and tourist attractions across Cornwall.

Following Cornwall’s lead, other tourist boards at destinations all across the UK, are now signing up to join forces with AFF as well.

Malcolm Bell Head of Visit Cornwall said, “I am fully in support of this scheme. People should look at the market that is relevant to their business to ensure each business gets the right customers and reduces bad experiences and bad reviews on sites such as Trip Advisor.”

The ‘Family Friendly’ scheme, APPROVED Family Friendly (also known as AFF) does exactly what it says on the tin and AFF are the new trust mark stamp of approval which is there to help parents choose quality service providers in an instant thus speeding up word of mouth recommendations and offering a visual aid when making key decisions.

APPROVED Family Friendly, founded by Jane Hancox, a wife and working mum of two young children, who is passionate about improving services in Britain and is a frequent campaigner for family services and facilities.

Jane says of the recognition “We are delighted that Visit Cornwall are our very first tourism partner and have shown us their support. These days, parents demand much more for their children when they venture out for the day, go on holiday or simply visit a pub or a restaurant here in Great Britain. Finding places which welcome families and provide trusted quality and safety is not always so easy.”

She goes onto say, “Most people use accredited and recommended plumbers and other suppliers, so it’s to families and providers advantage that you can now look out for the APPROVED Family Friendly logo, when you go to a destination, eat out or enjoy a day out. APPROVED Family Friendly (AFF) is an independent accreditation scheme, created to help parents and families and offers a visual aid before making key decisions as the logo shows an external assessment has been carried out and they have met our criteria.

The AFF mark is achieved by a ‘visited by us and approved for you’ approach,’ supporting providers, the scheme helps attract more tourism into the area, making sure the best places to go with the children are well and truly on the family radar. The AFF list is growing daily and includes hotels, visitor attractions, rainy day activities and fun farm holidays.
