What’s it all about?

A working vintage steam rally with vintage tractors, cars, motorbikes, military vehicles, commercials and stationary engines, trade stands, craft tent, hot food, bar and children's entertainment. In the words of the organisers: “Firstly we aim to give our visitors, whether they are adults or children, an enjoyable day out at a modest price. Secondly we seek to raise funds for charity”.

What happens?

Over the weekend locals and visitors flock to the showground near the tiny village of Morval deep in the Cornish countryside to enjoy the friendly atmosphere of this popular rally. Taking place over the August bank holiday weekend, the rally features lots of exhibits that illustrate the old fashioned power and craftsman design of vintage engines, cars and tractors.

How can you take part?

Parking is in adjacent farmland and as you wander around the rally you’ll find lots to interest and entertain.  In the main ring you can watch working dog and falconry displays as well as traction engine parades. Around the site you can have a go at numerous country pursuits like clay pigeon shooting, watch rural skills demos and look around the craft tent where you’ll find locally made models, ceramics, needlework and jewellery. For the kids there’s a bouncy castle, children’s entertainers and face painting. Live entertainment is provided all weekend in the traditional beer tent.
