The Working Boat Pub
Seas the day at The Working Boat, a proper pub on the waterfront where you can sink a few on Cornish time whilst admiring the view across Falmouth harbour.
Established in 1876 and rebuilt in 2015, the pub sits perched on the edge of Falmouth harbour underneath The Greenbank Hotel and is open every day from 11am. With an authentic Cornish atmosphere and private pontoons to moor up on, it’s the perfect spot to cruise in for a pint (or three) of your favourite.
Jam-packed days mean hearty appetites, so expect proper pub food and generous portions. The Working Boat is family-friendly (crab line anyone?) and four-legged friends are also welcome. Every Friday, you can tuck into their famous Fish and Chips special for just £7.95. And on Sundays, hearty roasts are served from midday until 6pm. Events include pub quizzes, live music, and the pub will be an official venue for The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival in 2017.
Head Chef Nick Hodges says: “Traditionally the first port of call for those on the working boats after a hard day out at sea, the pub is now open for everybody to enjoy. It offers a cosy and casual dining experience with real ales and local ciders on tap, including our very own brew. We hope you can join us for a jar.”
