Set amongst 66 acres of meadows, woodland and oak-lined streams, Coombeshead Farm is a joint venture by chefs Tom Adams and April Bloomfield, offering a dining experience in glorious isolation in the heart of Cornwall’s rural countryside.
Inspired by years working with farmers, butchers, growers and producers from the surrounding area, Tom and April showcase what can be achieved when farmer, grower and cook work side by side. Once the dairy farm of the original Trelaske estate built in 1748, work has begun on bringing Coombeshead back to its former glory as a working farm.
Our communal feasts are served in the dining room from Thursday to Sunday only. The dinner offering changes each day depending on what the farm is producing and what is ready from the smokehouse, curing and pickling rooms.
We endeavour to grow what we can on the farm while continuing to work alongside a local community of brilliant rare-breed farmers and growers to ensure only the most special things enter the kitchen.
We will guide you through our small but beautifully formed wine cellar before dinner to allow you to select a bottle of choice; the honesty bar will be open throughout your stay.
Dinner is charged at £65 per person with all drinks charged additionally.
Bookings for dinner only are available Thursday to Sunday, please contact us via email or phone to enquire.
We regularly host guest farmhouse dinners with brilliant chefs and restaurateurs. Please subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media for the latest on this and other such farm musings.
