Lord St Levan
Visit Cornwall Chairman
As Chairman of St Aubyn Estates, I have a responsibility for all that happens within the Estate, including the business activities relating to St Michael's Mount, which my wife and I manage in partnership with the National Trust.
What’s the most inspiring thing about your workplace?
The sheer variety of people involved, from the people who work for us, the other stakeholders in our businesses and of course our customers.
What do you love most about Cornwall?
Cornwall a place where people care for each other as well as sharing a mutual passion for the place itself.
Why have you joined the Visit Cornwall board?
Constraints on the public purse have given rise to the opportunity to reinvent Visit Cornwall as a self sufficient private sector entity. I think that there are few more stimulating experiences in business than helping launch a new venture.
What do you hope Visit Cornwall CIC will achieve?
That it will develop closer and deeper relationships with the tourism businesses it represents, that the scope of its activities will grow and that it will work with other sectors to help formulate an integrated approach to achieve prosperity for Cornwall as a whole.
