Favourite Poldark moments from series one

Porthgwarra Beach
Here at Visit Cornwall we're super excited for the return of Poldark on 4th September so while we count down the days what better time is there to indulge in a little reminiscing of our favourite scenes from series one...
Ross goes skinny dipping, episode two
Aiden Turner swimming through crystal blue Cornish waters in his birthday suit was just a little bit memorable! Episode two’s skinny dipping scene sent pulses racing and catapulted the tiny cove of Porthgwarra in west Cornwall into international lust ridden stardom. It was the moment we all wanted to be Demelza (who wouldn't have sneaked a peek?) and fell a little bit more in love Ross. More of this please in series two!
Shirtless scything, episode three
Call us Ross obsessed but we think we're with the majority in our love for the scything scene. His shirtless grass cutting was the perfect Sunday night antidote so much so that it was voted the top TV moment of 2015 by Radio Times readers - hear, hear!
Ross and Demelza meet, episode one
When their eyes first met with Ross playing the brooding war hero and Demelza a dirt covered urchin, they'd never have guessed of the love that lay before them. But we knew otherwise. With Demelza's hair freshly washed (under an outdoor pump no less), a new home at Nampara and Prudie on the case to rid her of those 'pesky crawl'ers' their fate was sealed. Elizabeth, we feel your pain.
Copper found at Wheal Leisure, episode four
How we whooped with joy in episode four when Ross proved his doubters wrong and struck copper at Wheal Leisure. He was on his way to turning around his family's fortunes and achieving hero status among his faithful workers. A deserving triumph indeed!
