Between Maenporth and Mawnan Smith there's a footpath that leads down through some beautiful wooded areas and ends at the little beach of Nansidwell, part of an area looked after by the National Trust. Dog-friendly all year.
Maenporth Beach is an attractive sheltered east-facing sandy beach set between small headlands. The gently sloping beach has shallow water which is great for children. A seasonal dog ban operates on this beach.
Castle Beach consists mostly of shingle at high tide but there are plenty of interesting rock pools to be found at low tide. This is a lovely location with stunning views out over Falmouth Bay. A seasonal dog ban operates on this beach.
With over 15 galleries, a boatbuilding workshop, interactive exhibits and a collection that spans The National Small Boat collection, exciting exhibitions, artworks, maps and charts and memorabilia there’s plenty to explore at this family friendly museum.
