Sterts is a registered charity and thanks to the untiring efforts of a band of volunteers offers a wide range of theatre and arts each year in Upton Cross, between Liskeard and Launceston.  The unique covered amphitheatre is an outdoor experience so do wear your layers, bring a cushion for the wooden seats and perhaps a blanket. With free parking and tickets prices around £12 for an adult, it makes for an enjoyable and affordable experience.

Sterts has a national reputation for excellence in its home-produced semi-professional shows.  Amateur performers ranging from experienced actors to young beginners get involved in Sterts Theatre Company in-house productions and have performed on the same stage as visiting stars like comedians Jo Brand and Ed Byrne, musicians Show of Hands and Seth Lakeman and even poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy.  There is a substantial programme of acclaimed touring theatre, including Miracle Theatre, Heartbreak, Squashbox and Boxtree.
Sterts Café and bar are open on all performance evenings, and pre-show meals can be booked on line along with your tickets.  A two course delicious home cooked meal costs just £15.00 per person and the café and conservatory offer the ideal setting for summer evening dining.  Best of all, diners in the café get reserved seats.  Alternatively, bring a picnic to enjoy in the spacious tree lined grounds before the performance and take the time to explore a little or enjoy the art gallery.

"Sitting in the audience as it draws closer together in the fading summer light, you get that feeling of intimacy and involvement that only outdoor performance can bring." SEEN magazine.

Sterts facilities can also be booked for conferences or other social events, just get in touch through the contact information shown.
Sterts is located in Upton Cross, the entrance is on the B3254 Launceston to Liskeard road.  There is ample free car parking, but please inform them if you are bringing a coach.    For Sat Nav users, the post code is PL14 5AZ.    Full details on the website
